Best Time to Visit

🌸

Spring (March – May)

Cherry blossom season is magical but very busy. Book accommodation 6+ months in advance. Temperatures are mild (10–20°C) and conditions are ideal for sightseeing.

🌿

Early Summer (June)

Fewer tourists and lower prices before the rainy season and summer heat. June offers lush green gardens and azalea blooms. Hydrangea season is particularly beautiful.

🍂

Autumn (October – November)

Many travellers consider this the best season. Comfortable temperatures, spectacular autumn foliage (koyo), and fewer crowds than spring cherry blossom season.

❄️

Winter (December – February)

Cold but rewarding. Fewer tourists, competitive hotel rates, snow-covered temples and the unique experience of New Year celebrations (Oshogatsu) in Japan.
